Superstar SMTown - Cards Upgrade

Once we have two 5 stars same grade same artist (not necessarily have to be the same theme/album), we can "upgrade" this card to a higher grade.

For example: I upgraded 2 5stars "Red Velvet Irene" C cards for one 1star "Red Velvet Irene" B card. It costs 5000R to upgrade C to B card.

Good news: 100% chance of successful upgrade.

Superstar SMTown - Powering Up Cards

This game allows us to power up one card with another card to level up. It costs rhythm points [R](depending on the card grade).

Different chances of successful power up:
- Very High (when we try to power up low grade card with high grade card. ie. C card with A card)
- High
- Normal
- Low (power up high grade card with low grade card, ie. A card with C card)

Note that when we try to power up the card, the other card will be "eaten" by the game. I made a huge mistake by powering up my C card with B card. It was a successful power up as the chance was high. My C card's level was leveled up by one level, but the game "ate" my B card >.<

We can try to power up the card with any card (don't have to be the same artist / the same card type), from my experience, the chance is still the same. Normal still gives me 50-50 chance for the successful level up.

Rhythm Points Costs

It varies.

- C with C card: 100R (Normal)
- C with B card: 147R (Very High)
- C with A card: 152R (Very High)
- C with S card: 179R (Very High)

- B with B card: 375R (Normal)
- B with C card: 150R (Low)
- B with A card: 509 (High)
- B with S card: 642R (Very High)

- A with A card: 3000R (Normal)
- A with C card: 300R (Low)
- A with B card: 1920R (Normal)
- A with S card: 4332R (High)

- S with S card: 9000R (Normal)
- S with C card: 450R (Low)
- S with B card: 5580R (Normal)
- S with A card: 6156R (Normal)

We can power up each card grade until it reaches the highest level (5 stars). Then, we have the option to "upgrade" the card.

Superstar SMTown - Cards

Cards are very important in this game. We have to "equip" the artist's card in the correct spot before we can use it in the game. The card grades determine the points we can earn. The highest the card grade, the higher the points we earn.

Four different card grades:

- S (the rarest & highest grade) [Gold]
- A (second highest grade) [Purple]
- B [Red]
- C (lowest grade) [Blue]

This game gives us 30 random cards (25 regular cardpack & 5 premium cardpack) when we first start playing the game. If we're very lucky, we can get one S card. I wasn't that lucky though.

So I decided to register as a regular member to receive 5 premium cardpack. I was lucky to receive Henry "S" card ^^

Premium cardpack (guarantee S - B cards) can be purchased with diamonds which we receive for free if our weekly score is in top 3 or we can also buy it using google play credit.

By filling all respective slots with each member's card, you will receive a bonus.

Group Grade "C" receive 10000 startup points (so you start the game of that respective group / artist with 10000 points). "B" receive 20000 points, "A" and "S" receive 30000 points.

Note: After we select the song we want to play, the cards from the artist's deck shuffle. Every card appears randomly when we play the game. You can distinguish the homepad color based on the card's grade. Ie. when it changes to purple, it means you're currently playing with "A" grade card. And so on.

We have to try our best to hit the most perfect "tap" when we're playing with higher grade cards (ie. S & A).

The homepad color will change to:
- Blue for C card
- Red for B card
- Purple for A card
- Gold for S card

Notice that there're three different "tap accuracy" grades: Most perfect (rainbow), Perfect (gold), Good (green). As long as we get these three grades, the combo will keep accumulating. Combo will reset back to 0 if we miss any beat.

If we collect the same theme cards, we start the game with mightier rave (higher bonus points).

Card status

Here we can check the card's status from the level, group theme bonus level, etc. We can also equip / unequip the card (to sell it), power the card up or even sell it.

Selling Card

C: 200 rhythm points
B: 600 rhythm points

I've never sold my A / S card :)

Superstar SMTown - Weekly Ranking Score

Ranking score is calculated from the sum of your highest 5 song scores by 5 different artists.

There're total of 13 different SM artists in this rhythm game: BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Super Junior M, Henry, Girls' Generation, TTS, SHINEE, Taemin, f(x), EXO-K, EXO-M and Red Velvet.

Therefore, you have lots of chance to get highest scores from five of your favorite SM artists. I will explain about the game points on my next post.

My weekly top 5.

Weekly score ranking. I'm currently not in top 5, it's so hard because I don't have lots of good cards. >.<

We compete with 19 other people every week. If someone got higher score than us and surpass our ranking, we receive headphone.

At the end of the week (Sunday), the competition ends. Top 5 move to the next rank, bottom 5 (16-20) go back to the lower rank.

There're three different leagues, each league has 3 different ranks:
- Bronze (I, II, III)
- Silver (I, II, III)
- Gold (I, II, III)

When we first start playing this game, we're in Bronze III league. If we're in top 5, we move to Bronze II and so on. If we're in Bronze II and in bottom 5, we move back to Bronze III.

Prize: top 3 will receive diamonds which we can use to purchase in-game packs (such as headphones, storage, and the most important card pack).
